The Challenge
The Mall of Coffee required a marketplace-style Shopify platform aggregating multiple coffee roasters and brewing equipment suppliers. The site needed roaster profile showcases, product filtering by roast level and origin, brewing method guides, subscription management for regular deliveries, coffee education content, equipment recommendations, and experiences that serve both casual coffee drinkers and specialty coffee enthusiasts seeking quality beans and gear.
The Solution
Built a custom Shopify theme with multi-vendor capabilities using Liquid, implemented advanced filtering by roast and origin with JavaScript, and created coffee-culture-inspired layouts with CSS3. Integrated subscription app functionality, developed roaster profile pages, created brewing education sections, and optimized mobile shopping experiences while ensuring the sophisticated yet approachable design appeals to both coffee newcomers and experienced enthusiasts.
